Alright, change is bound to happen.
Sometimes, we see it coming from a mile away. Other times, it blindsides us entirely. You might even find yourself looking back and thinking, "How did things shift so dramatically in just a few weeks, months, or even years?"
It can take only one small event…
- One email…
- One conversation…
- One realisation…
- One decision…
… to alter your reality in seconds.
Sounds wild, doesn’t it? To think that everything you know and expect can flip that quickly?
The real question is: how many of us instinctively resist change, trying to avoid it like the plague?
Change makes us feel uncomfortable, nervous, anxious – even unsettled. So, human nature often prompts us to say, *“Nope, not today. Let’s keep things the way they are, thanks very much.”* We cling to the comfort of our routines, aiming to avoid change at all costs.
But here’s the twist: sometimes, change happens before we even have a say. It’s not within our control, and there’s no ‘undo’ button.
So… now what?
For some of you, just reading this might bring on a bit of nervous energy. It’s understandable! But here’s the choice:
- Option A: Worry, ruminate, and get pulled deeper into the anxiety quicksand, struggling to make sense of it all.
- Option B: Embrace it.
Change as a Gateway to Growth
Here’s the thing – we do have choices. And that’s incredibly empowering.
After years of learning, reflecting, and adjusting, I now default to *Option B*. Yes, that’s right. I’ve actually started to feel a spark of excitement when facing difficult, change filled situations.
Why? Because I know that, while it may be uncomfortable, challenging, or even painful, change is always a path towards growth. It leads us somewhere better if we’re willing to trust and lean into it.
But here’s the catch: growth only happens if we’re willing to join the “Option B” Club,
A Question to Consider
So, the next time change comes knocking – whether it’s a new health goal, a shift in your routine, or a challenge that throws you off track – pause and ask yourself:
“Where could this take me?”
Change doesn’t have to be a barrier; it can be the bridge to the health, vitality and freedom you’re seeking.
Ready to Embrace Change?
